This beautiful 49 foot cross can be seen standing triumphantly above the city of Chesterfield, Missouri. Truly one of a kind, this MAJESTIC CROSS was fabricated using Corten steel and features a beautiful stained-glass wreath. This MAJESTIC CROSS crowns The West County Assembly of God’s campus on Highway 40. The cross was a culmination of a year of planning, many zoning disapprovals, and a lot of local protesting. A group even formed the “I Hate the Cross Committee” and warned us that when we arrived to install the cross, they would do bodily harm to our installation crew, damage our vehicles and deface the cross. However, the tenacity, faith and prayers of Pastor John Wilson and his congregation plus the prayers from Headrick’s Cross Company employees - we prevailed. The enemy’s threats never materialized and now the cross stands proudly as a symbol of God’s love even to those who hate the cross and the Savior for which it stands.
Jesus said in John 12:32, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”
