Dr. Kevin Hamm, Pastor of Gardendale First Baptist Church in Gardendale, Alabama had a vision to build a new church campus adjacent to Interstate 65. In addition to a new church campus God told Dr. Hamm to build a MAJESTIC CROSS that would be large enough to convey God’s love to the hundreds of thousands of travelers who would pass their campus every year. His vision became a reality, and a magnificent 125 foot tall gleaming white MAJESTIC CROSS was installed for all to see.
Brother De Allen, Executive Pastor of Administration, made this statement, “We receive letters every week from people who have driven by our church telling us how the cross has changed their lives. If we could turn back the clock, we would have put the cross up first instead of last”.
